Step 2: Goal
The second step of effective networking is to set the goal. Nothing can be achieved without setting a goal. Goal setting is important for success because it takes control of life, tells what the person really wants, allows measurement of progress, motivates to work and creates laser focus.
It is important to set a goal and focus on pouring energy into accomplishing the goal. The goal may be long-term or short term. It is good to fix the long-term goal for five years or divide it into various short-term goals. It is also important to make a timetable for achieving the long-term goal. For example, a year could be the timetable frame for long term goals and a month for short-term goals.
