NETWORKING

Networking coaching guide

Networking is one of the key elements of present-day labour market. One of immigrants’ employment challenges is lack of contacts with local networks and knowledge about them.

This coaching guide is targeted at both professionals as well as jobseekers. The aim of the guide is to present different tools and practical tips by which networks can be created and developed. The coaching guide is sectioned as follows:
  1. Theory
  2. Networking steps - model
  3. Practical tips for networking
  4. All-in-one-4-HER -platform and other networking platforms
  5. Criteria for organizing network events

The guide can be used by jobseekers individually and/or with the help of a mentor or a coach by selecting useful tools. Professionals can use the guide to familiarize themselves with network theory and methods and good practices for inter-organisational networking and organisation of network events.

In this coaching guide, the focus is mainly on building and keeping interpersonal professional networks alive.  It should be remembered that networking is giving and receiving, not just receiving.
